IMPORTANT UPDATE | 2026 Catalina Island Marathon Date Change
We have an important update regarding the 2026 Catalina Island Marathon.
Due to a major scheduling shift in the endurance event calendar, our original 2026 race weekend has become significantly more impacted than in past years.
To ensure the best possible experience for our athletes, volunteers, and island community, we’ve made the decision to move the 2026 Catalina Island Marathon from March 7th to March 14th. This is a one-year change only, and we have previously held the marathon on this date.
We understand this may impact your travel planning, and we’re actively working with our island hotel partners to see how we can assist those already booked for the original weekend. We’ll share more details on that front shortly.
To help accommodate your plans, we’re offering two options:
1. Roll your 2026 entry into the new date. No action on your part is necessary.
2. Defer your entry to 2027. You can request a deferral through your RunSignup account: RunSignup Deferral Instructions
